G9000 Radio Systems

Genium's low cost, low power, 900 MHz G9000 transceiver
The G9000 radio system is Genium's latest 900 MHz radio product. The G9000 is a low-cost, frequency hopping, spread-spectrum ISM band transceiver with a standard RS-232 baseband interface. The transmitter output is 1 Watt.

All this in a 2 inch by 4 inch footprint.

GW-900 Submetering Radio System

Genium's low cost, low power, 900 MHz GW-900T transmitter
The GW-900 submetering radio system comprises a pair of frequency-hopping, spread-spectrum ISM band radio modules.

Small size and low-power permit the use of the GW-900T 300 mW transmitter in remote data monitoring and collection networks. To date over 30,000 GW-900T transmitters have been deployed providing automated meter reading (AMR) of water, gas and electric meters.

Genium's DSP-based 900 MHz GW-900TR transceiver

The GW-900TR transceiver, functioning as a basestation, receives transmissions from the remote GW-900T transmitters and provides the remote data to the local billing office.

The GW-900TR also functions as a repeater when the network is spread over a large area providing maximum flexibility for the property owner.

GCPM-56 UHF MILSATCOM Modem Test Set

The GCPM-56 modem provides for testing of the continuous phase modulation (CPM) modulation waveforms
Genium GCPM-56 UHF MILSATCOM Modem Test Set - DSP Circuit Card Assembly
defined in MILSTD-188-181B and can be modified to perform experimentation on advanced versions of the waveform particularly as they apply to MIL-STD-188-183B DAMA waveforms.

An optional SOQPSK software module is available equipping the modem for testing with Shaped Offset Quadrature Phase Shift (SOQPSK) modulation.

Although designed as a piece of laboratory equipment, the modem successfully operates in over-the-air satellite tests when used with appropriate UHF radio equipment.

Genium Satellite and LOS Channel Simulator
Genium's channel simulators provide calibrated noise and signal level adjustment for accurate BER and acquisition probability measurements.

Capabilities include channel frequency conversion, Doppler offset, time-delay, channel filtering, and multipath emulation. Our channel simulators are often used for UHF Follow-On (UFO) Satellite emulation by the U.S. Military.

TDMA Controller

The TDMA Controller is used for UHF MILSATCOM DAMA (Demand Assigned Multiple Access) communications.
TDMA Controller
The TDMA Controller features a Motorola PowerQUICC MPC860 communications controller that executes the media access protocol.

An Analog Devices SHARC processor is used as a digital signal processing co-processor to perform the required Viterbi decoding of the incoming TDMA burst.
